Hubley Cast Iron "Double Scotty" Table Lamp

The Hubley Manufacturing Company was incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley. The first Hubley toys appeared in 1909 and were made of cast-iron, in subjects that ranged from horse drawn vehicles and dogs, to tractors and guns.

Over the years, Hubley produced a wide range of cast-iron toys, doorstops, bookends… and lamps.

Starting in about 1940, Hubley’s production shifted to diecast zinc alloy toys, particularly motor vehicles. Additionally plastic models were produced, in particular "promos" for the US automobile industry.

Concerning the value of your particular “Cast Iron Double Scotty Lamp”, its condition as well as how pleasing the design is of this particular model (you didn’t provide any photos!) will be determinant factors.

That said, dog theme vintage/antique items in general are desirable, as there are numerous collectors for this subject.

Additionally, for information purposes, past and present prices of comparable items on eBay, offer a general indication of what your lamp might be worth:
